During the first years of all of our lives, we were ignorant of the reality of religion and what it is basically, that is, we have no idea about the different religions, sects and creeds in this big world, but of course, like any small child, our innocent eyes were following our fathers and mothers as they practiced movements of long standing and temporary sitting on the ground after Hearing a voice resounding around us with words that our mind cannot decipher its concepts, but it distinguishes them as they are frequently repeated.
No wonder we all tried to imitate their movements with our tender limbs and small bodies, and certainly the memory of each of us witnesses the family abstaining from food for certain hours of the day except for our mouths and their celebration of certain days of the year and securities placed in our little palm, then undisputedly we did not put an explanation for this, surely all we were We care about him as children is nothing but play, sleep and food.
Until we reached a stage in this life in which we gained the ability to observe and think and ask many, many questions such as: What is prayer? Why do we pray? Why do we fast? Do I have to fast all day? Who is god? Does he love me? How will I see him? What is heaven? What does Islam mean? Why do you cover your head? Why and why is infinite, question after question and answer after answer, followed by a story from here and a note from there, and many lessons in our schools made us imitate the character of a Muslim until our features and cells of our minds imbibed it little by little.
With this, I answer the first question, "Why are we Muslims?" The answer would be that the Muslim family and the Muslim community in which we grew up made us Muslims on the basis of instinct.
While I put that answer aside I repeat my question again: Why are we Muslims? Shall we pray, fast, pay zakat, and give alms only? Or is there a goal and a higher purpose for our existence on the face of the globe with the entity of a Muslim human being, there is no doubt that human existence and religion have a close relationship, as spirituality is an integral part of human existence.
The truth of the questions begins that the Muslim person bears a great responsibility that no one else can bear, as he is the Caliph of God on earth, from the first moment in which he pronounced the martyrdom and realized its greatness and importance, it became officially that expected Caliph, as the existence of each of us is not limited to the duties, but is more than that. It is an existence that applies the greatness of these duties and their fruits to his entire life, making them one of the foundations of building a strong nation, so that our bodies may be the backbone of a nation that elevates the entire human race and frees it from the afflictions of itself and its demons.
God has blessed us with Islam so that we can find a beacon and a ray of hope in every darkness we face, so that we can become beacons of ourselves for others to guide them to the truth of existence represented by the greatness of Islam. With happiness and bliss, let us make of our lives stories and history measured by the values of gold and diamonds. Islam gives a person a clear vision and message, a vision that one may spend his whole life searching for until misery controls him for the absence of that desire, while it is simply within him with his sound instinct.
Being a Muslim gives you the advantage in terms of the smoothest life in the spiritual sense, and here I mean the Muslim in the true sense of Sharia and creed. You have the reference that guides you to the most appropriate path on the straight path to find solutions to your problems. Your heart is sad with mercy and tranquility, you have the advantage of the Qur’an, prayer and supplication, and the fact that there is someone whose eye does not sleep and takes care of you every second, and that it is slow and never neglected, no matter how long it takes.
Jalal al-Din al-Rumi said, “He who enters the road without a guide will take a hundred years on a journey that only needs two days.” Being a Muslim makes every action and statement that comes out of you a meaning, value and importance that you will be held accountable for sooner or later, meaning that your life will not be like scattered dust.
Being a Muslim means that your entire life is an act of worship that has a purpose and a great goal that takes you to the afterlife, that is, from a mortal life to an immortal life. You are the one who leads yourself to it and God, in His mercy and justice, determines its nature, in all the meaning of the word, Islam makes your life a real life in all aspects.
Muslim means trust in God, honesty, trustworthiness, sincerity, patience, loyalty, seriousness, kindness, compassion, strength, and thinking.
